Level 1 Player (MT Novel) - Chapter 9
Chapter 9. Complaint (Part 1 )
I was psyched, as I had achieved a fantastic success. At this rate, I could recover the lost time in just a few days. And even more than that, I could have gotten more points than I’d ever dreamed of. I wouldn’t even need to save up points and sell items to purchase the elixir later. I went to the nearest store and bought everything I could theoretically sell: cigarettes and a Zippo lighter (even though I lead a healthy lifestyle myself), soju, beer, ramen (instant noodles), paper napkins, sweets, a pack of masks, and so on. In other words, I walked through the store and took everything I saw. My wallet was almost empty anyway, since all the money went to my father’s medical care. Not that I’d gained much, but I’d spent everything I’d set aside for myself now.
“It can’t be helped,” I put all the stuff I bought into a bag and headed home. The bag came out pretty weighty, but thanks to my strength, which was 70, it felt like a fluffy thing. And as I walked back home, I started experimenting again.
[You can’t sell items you don’t own.]
– You don’t say,” I tried to put the car I had parked on the street up for sale. I already knew it wouldn’t work. If such a thing were possible, it would be the very first robbery of its kind in the world. Then I tried adding a sticker that was taped to some building.
[You can’t sell items that don’t belong to you.]
That was to be expected.
[Broken XX fan (low level)]
– Oh, and this added – I was able to put the fan up for sale. – What’s the difference here?
The building and the fan. Both of these items were abandoned and no one wanted them. Although I was well aware that items marked “junk” could also be found at recycling companies, but they had an owner there.
“So, what am I even thinking about. Does it depend on my attitude? Or does the program decide everything?”
Unfortunately, I couldn’t answer that question because I didn’t know for sure. But the reason clearly lay in the fact that I couldn’t sell items that belonged to someone. Picking up the bag again, I headed home.
“Here comes the way back,” as soon as I crossed the threshold, I immediately went into the status window, went to the buy and sell tab, and started adding all the items I had purchased there.
“Yeah, sad,” I really got sad, as I couldn’t sell more than 10 items. Stupefied by my first successful sale, I decided to raise the price.
[Price]: 999,999,999 points.
The price was increased almost tenfold. If all went well, I could have added another 11,574 days! In fact, it was crazy. As soon as the first item hit the general market, I started waiting.
I stared at the buy-sell window with a haggard expression on my face. It had been three hours, but nothing had been purchased.
“Maybe it’s too expensive,” I decided to reconsider the price and put up 100 million points again. However, nothing changed. I was getting more irritable by the minute. As time went on, I lowered the price again, but nothing was ever sold.
“Why is it that when I first added items, they immediately sold out? What’s wrong now?”
In fact, I was only able to sell all the items back then because of sheer luck. It’s just that the VIP shopaholics Gwess Pitt and Flower Sword were among those who looked in the buy-sell window. However, Gwess Pitt was now engrossed in the game, and Flower Sword in selfies.
There were quite a few shopaholics among those who often sat in the window of commerce. However, there was no reason to buy items that didn’t increase damage or defense or have an active or passive skill. Of course, if they were cheap, they would have been bought, but now the listed price was average. I didn’t know all that yet, so it bothered me. What’s more, I was just desperate that I couldn’t get my old look back.
– Please, please,” I began to pray.
But nothing happened.
* * * So the whole day went by. I didn’t sleep a wink and kept checking the sale window. From the outside, I was probably like those crazy people who constantly check the status of their stocks or bitcoins.
“Damn it!” I lowered the price to 999,999 points. But even so, no one wanted to buy my items.
– And if I had 11 days to live, I’d die waiting,” I shouted.
“Ding-dong,” suddenly a letter-shaped icon appeared in the window.
– What is it? – I was surprised when I clicked on the icon.

[Dear seller, a complaint has been written to you from a buyer. If the number of complaints increases, your rating may drop. Please be careful! Would you like to read the complaint?]
“Complaints?” – What nonsense. That wasn’t part of my plan. However, it wasn’t that important to me now. I was more concerned about selling the items. I lowered the price again. And then this happened.
[Your registered item was purchased]
[Your registered item was purchased]
[Your registered item was bought]
What had taken so long to sell out sold out in the blink of an eye.
– What the hell is going on? – I snapped into a scream.
After I calmed down a bit, I started to add more items. This time, however, I increased the price a little. Again I got a message:
[Dear seller, a complaint was written to you from the buyer. If the number of complaints will increase, your rating may drop. Please be careful! Would you like to read the complaint?]

I’ve just been inundated with messages about newly received complaints. И…
[14 out of 20 of your items received complaints. 70% of the items you sold were given temporary “low quality merchandise” status. You will not be allowed to trade for three days. Please resolve all disputes within one week. Failure to do so will result in a permanent “low quality item” status and your business may be suspended for 3 months].
– Can be suspended for 3 months? – I was in a state of shock and quickly poked at a message from user Flower Sword.
[Complaint about XX phone (low level)]
“This phone is an excellent item. But why did it break so quickly when I used it for even less than 6 hours? I waited a day, but nothing changed. If you keep selling items of such poor quality, it won’t last long.”
– It didn’t break, it ran out of power…” I was just at a loss for words.
A little while later I opened the next letter, but it was kind of weird.
[Complaint about XX waterproofing watch (low level)
“You’re Choi Hyun Seong, aren’t you? I’ll cancel the complaint if you add a normal phone that won’t break.”
[Complaint about XXX three-ply paper tissues (low level)]
“Don’t you understand me? Why are you selling such garbage? Okay. I’ll find a way to get rid of you anyway.”
[Complaint about XXXX cigarettes (low level)]
“It’s not too late. Just put out another phone.”
[Complaint about XXX copy of Zippo lighter (low level)]
“You’re ignoring me completely. Okay, then it’ll be bad.”
[Complaint about XXX juju (low level)]
“I’m giving you an ultimatum. Load it now.”
[Complaint about XXX beer (low level)]
“You ignored me anyway. Fine, then I’ll go all the way.”
Similar messages kept coming.
– Wow…” I was speechless as I read all these messages. I just sat there with my mouth hanging open from the resentment that swept over me.
– They didn’t even give me time to read the messages.
After so many complaints, they blocked me right away.
