Level 1 Player (MT Novel) - Chapter 32
Chapter 32 – Assignment (Part 1)
– It’s none of your business.
– Oh, oh, look how rude we are! But we can give you the amount you asked for. Why do you refuse to cooperate?
– Maybe it’s the contract?
– What’s wrong with the contract? Did something outrage you?
– You really don’t know? It didn’t seem that way to me during the consultation with the lawyer,” I said and stopped talking.
– Oh, you mean those clauses… If you really are the one we need, I assure you there will be no problems.
– But what if I’m not who you think I am?
– Hyun Seong, think carefully. The Saw Guild…
And then the stories began. As they say, I pretended to listen, but in reality, it was going in one ear and out the other. I was well aware that none of the conditions promised by the Guild were credible. Opening the window of condition would put me in even greater danger.
“If there wasn’t an open condition window clause in the contract, then…”
But the Sow Guild can’t afford that luxury.
– If that’s all, I’m hanging up now, after which I’ll change the phone number again. And if you show up on my doorstep again, you won’t get away with it! – I said, and, as promised, I hung up.

– You bastard! – So Dae Woon frowned.
Because of Choi Hyun Seong’s story, he’s been humiliated. But things would be different now. Seo Dae Woon had to please Choi Hyun Seong and make him talk to him for as long as possible.
– Have you located his location?
– Yes.
– And where is he?
– It’s right here.
– Isn’t this the territory of the Eosong Guild?
– In that case, what should we do?
– Call the Woohyun Guild and tell them we’re starting.
– All right.
Okay, Woohyun Guild. The head of the guild is Jang Woo Hyung. At first glance, it seems like an ordinary guild, but there’s more to it than that. Instead of hunting monsters, they’re hunting people. Not for free, of course.
– If we intimidate him, he’ll come running to us.
Of course, no one thought to kill the boy. Then again, no one expected him to join the Sow Guild like an idiot. It’s just that the Player by the name of Chae Hyun Seong would get into trouble with the representatives of the Woohyung Guild, which would result in him getting a couple of abrasions. And after that, he won’t be able to be a Player. Of course, if that happens, it will be different from the original idea. But it will be a balm to the soul after what this puppy has done.

I visited electronics stores and various department stores and picked up all sorts of goodies, including laptops, expensive watches and even cosmetics. After that, I safely added everything I had purchased to the sales window. Although high-capacity batteries and game consoles sold well, it wasn’t enough for me.
“I think I can sell anything now, thanks to the increase in items.
If you only sell a certain kind of product, sales will gradually start to drop, so that’s why it’s best to increase the volume of sales. And so that there is room to spread out in the price range. It is always possible to lower the cost of items that sell poorly and, conversely, to increase the cost of those that sell well.
“That’s it,” I’m done with adding merchandise. – Now we can hunt.”
The best way to get stronger and collect points is to hunt.

[Incredible Achievement (Legendary)]
You have killed 10,000 todmans of various levels by yourself.
Reward: Rank [Executioner of todmans (legendary)]
“That’s it.
I was able to max out the ranks with the todemans.
“Oh, I even still have time,” I noted and headed for the exit of the dungeon.
After catching a cab, I decided to visit the dungeon level above, the Goblin Dungeon.
– That kid over there?
– Yeah, that’s right.
– Then let’s follow him.
– Yes, Hyungnim.
(P.p.: Hyungnim, hyungnim is a reference used by male members to a guy/male who is older.)
The small van moved off and followed the cab.
No sooner had the cab pulled up to the dungeon than I jumped out of it and headed inside. Those who had followed in the van also followed me.
“Okay, this dungeon is a forest.”
This was the first time I had encountered anything like this. The vaults of the dungeon were flooded with a subtle reddish light, like the sun at sunset, and the area itself was a forest of five-foot-tall huge trees and grass, as if it were a jungle.
“Well, let’s get started!”
Even though this was the first time I had seen this type of dungeon, I wasn’t the least bit nervous, and that’s because its level and the level of its inhabitants was far below mine. In fact, I didn’t notice any difference between the difficulty level of the dungeon.
“Stealth!”
After activating the active skill, I headed deep into the dungeon, away from the eyes of the security personnel.
“Now we can hunt.”
There were no other Players or vigilantes in this place. Only goblins were here.
“Magic missile!”

The moment I used another active skill, the goblin was immediately torn to pieces. Monsters began to flock to the same place from all sides and lunged at me with their brute weapons. I used fireballs and magic missiles to push the attackers back as far as possible, and I killed all those who managed to get closer with my Vampire Sword. And some of them fell asleep from the poisoned needles of the vampire bats’ mantle.
The moment I activated my fire skills, the goblins began to “melt. These monsters were similar in level to the ones I had fought before. I finished off the last goblin that was resisting me with my sword.
“That’s it.”
Now all I had to do was gather all the stones and objects into subspace, but suddenly I heard some rustling. I’m sure there was someone behind the bushes.
“Did I not kill all the monsters?”
I tensed up and prepared to reactivate my skills at any moment.
– Why the hell did he go to our hunting ground? – Someone on the other side of the thicket said.
“Players?”
The thicket rattled and out into the “clearing” came not the goblins, but a group of Players.
– Oh, I think that’s him! – said the head of the group, pointing in my direction, and yelled: – What the hell are you doing hunting in our territory?
– We pay the same entrance fee. Where’s my hunting ground and where’s yours? – I answered nonchalantly.
– We hunt here every day. That’s why it’s our territory! And since you hunted on our property, you will leave all the stones here. And as an apology for the monsters you killed, you will leave all your equipment behind.
For the first time in my life, I was so perplexed.
“I’ve certainly read about such cases on the Internet, but I never thought I’d find myself in such a situation…”
In the dungeons, there were often enough terrors. And since there was no cellular communication here, we had to rely on the testimony of other players. And if a dispute resulted in someone dying…
Well, it’s worth noting that it’s quite common for Players to die in dungeons. The only problem was that there were Players who ignored it. They were criminals, taking all the items and equipment from other Players. In the worst case scenario, they could even kill.
“When a person gets in a situation like this, what do you usually have to say?”
I handled a mob of goblins alone. So I am much stronger and taller than those who normally hunt in a given dungeon.
“Oh, you guys are making a huge mistake…”
These Players definitely don’t know who they’re dealing with.
– You don’t seem to understand us. Then we’ll help you out. Guys, come on!
– Bingo!” the bullies said and headed my way.
“They look slow.”
I could see every movement of the Player. Every vein straining with every step. Surely these were Players of a higher level than those who hunt in the goblin dungeon. And the difference could be compared to the difference between a child and an adult.
One of the Players, who had been the first to enter the “clearing,” launched his spear at me unhindered. His target was my legs.
“There…”
I glared angrily at those who didn’t hesitate to use their weapons and shattered the spear with my vampire sword.
– Die!
When the mercenaries saw their weapons defeated, they roared menacingly and pounced on me. But I calmly dealt with them as well. Yes, this was my first time fighting humans, but it was no more difficult than fighting any other humanoid monster. I used my sword and shield to defend myself, and with my elbows and feet I took out one by one.
Suddenly one of the attackers tried to knock the sword out of my hands. His act could have been construed as suicide. So I tried to dodge quickly, but the distance between the sword and the Player was too small, and as a result the blade of the sword touched my shoulder. The Player’s face immediately changed.
And it began… When I guessed their current intentions, the abusers actively began to make sword attacks.
“They’re crazy…!”
I hid my sword in its scabbard and began to fight back with a single shield. The scuffle ended quickly, as I knocked everyone down fairly quickly. The difference between our abilities was so great that they couldn’t even leave a scratch on me.
At this point the thicket rumbled again.
“Security personnel?”
A well-equipped man emerged from the bushes.
– Oh, you’re here.
– The head of the guild!
– Were you the one who put down my subordinates? – The man asked loudly, looking at the Crimson Players lying on the ground.
– They were the first to begin…
And before I could finish my sentence, the man came at me.

“They had a good time here,” Jang Woo Hyun smiled as he looked at the bloodied guild members.
In fact, in dungeon messes like this, it was hard enough to determine who was the attacker and who was the victim. And it was also difficult to punish the perpetrators by legal means. And if someone was injured as a result of the conflict? The police and prosecutors would have concluded that both sides were at fault and rested on that.
“It would have been easier if he had been asked to kill.”
But this whole spectacle was a requirement of the customer.
“We need to get this over with as soon as possible,” thought Jang Woo-hyun and headed toward the target. – Hmm, I could cut his leg.”
The customer had definitely asked to make sure that this kid couldn’t be a Player anymore. So in our case, legs would do just fine. The best option was to cut off one of the kid’s legs. Zhang Woo-hyun waved his blade straight toward the kid’s left leg.
“Repulsed the attack?”
The guild leader’s face twisted. How could some brat who hunts in a low-level dungeon repel his attack? His ego had been punched in the face. So Jang Woo-hyun threw another punch, putting even more force into it, but the backlash was quick enough.
“A player of this dungeon can’t possess such abilities!”
No doubt his abilities were inferior, but now the idea of neatly cutting off his leg seemed a little unrealistic.
“How annoying he is… At least I tried to do it neatly,” thought the guild leader.
But since the guy was putting up some serious resistance, Jang Woo-hyun had the idea of not only depriving him of his leg, but of his arm as well.
