Level 1 Player (MT Novel) - Chapter 29
Chapter 29 – Creating Chaos (Part 2)
After finishing my phone call with Seo Dae-Woon, I immediately called Go Jin-Sung back.
– First Scout Team Leader Go Jin Seong, speaking.
– This is Choi Hyun Seong.
– Ah, hello! Have you read the contract?
– Yes, that’s right. In fact, I’m calling to tell you that I’m ready to sign it.
– Then let’s meet. I can go anywhere.
– But that won’t be necessary.
– What? Why?
– I’m sending you a document right now. Once you’ve read it, call me back, okay?
– Okay, then I’ll wait for the contract.
It’s been a while, but Ko Jin Seong hasn’t called me back.
– Did you receive what I sent you?
– Ah, yes,” Ko Jin Seong replied with concern in his voice.
– I hope you’ll come to a consensus within the guild and send me a new contract. Besides, I’ve been doing some thinking and I think an advance of a hundred billion might not be enough.
– What? What are you talking about?
– How about two hundred billion? No, that’s not much either. Let’s make it three hundred billion.
– Look here, Choi Hyun Seong! Are you kidding me right now?
– If you don’t want to, then don’t,” I said and hung up.
Five minutes later, I sent a redacted file with the contents of my phone conversation with Seo Dae Woon to Go Jin Sung. It’s not hard to do nowadays.
After a while, my battery died.
“It seems like it’s already time to change my phone.
Also, it seems like I should take a nap while these two figure things out and fight amongst themselves.

A month went by. I was able to earn a couple more ranks without drawing attention to myself thanks to subspace. In addition, I was slowly getting back to my original appearance as the points for killing monsters dropped.
At the same time, Guild Deputy Soo Jung Sung Woo was in a quandary.
– Where the hell have you been? – The guild deputy raised his voice at the captain of the second support team, Seo Dae Woon.
– He’s not in the dungeons we’re in charge of. But we’ll find him…” Seo Dae Woon didn’t have time to finish his sentence.
– Do you think you’re the only one? Find him by any means necessary!
Seo Dae Woon bowed his head as if he were feeling uncomfortable. But it was only for show.
“How am I going to find him…?”
Because of the internal conflict, the Sow Guild was divided into two camps. Information is not at all easy to obtain. Even if you are a member of the Sow Guild, it is impossible to get information about any dungeon in the country at the snap of a finger. Since the head of the guild was the first to get Choi Hyun Seong’s personal information, it means that he really did catch a lucky break. But now everything has changed. It was as if the man had fallen through the cracks.
– He couldn’t have joined another guild, could he?
– I don’t think so.
– You don’t think so? What did you just say? I don’t want to see you, get out!
– Yes, sir!
To Jung Sung Woo’s shouts, Seo Dae Woon hurriedly walked away.
– Oh shit…” said Jung Sung Woo and lowered his head.
The sent contract and the sound file with the conversation were the starting point of the discord. Part of the guild led by Ma Ji Hoon fled after their plans were ruined by Jung Sung Woo. And at the same time, part of the guild led by Jung Sung Woo started a war, blaming Ma Ji Hoon for not keeping up with his obligations, and with it, for the failed cause.
In fact, this led to a split in the guild. Part of it, led by Ma Ji Hoon, blamed all the troubles on Jeong Seong Woo, and later another part, led by Jeong Seong Woo, also spoke out and criticized Ma Ji Hoon’s leadership. As a result, the guild split into two camps. If there was a problem, it was the contract and the sound file, and that proved to be Jung Sung Woo’s weakness. Of course, Jung Sung Woo started to claim that the file and contract were fake, but the situation didn’t change one bit after that. Most of the guild took Ma Ji Hoon’s side.
“We must find him as soon as possible…”
Of course, Jeong-sung-woo had to convince the foul-mouthed Choi Hyun-sung to join the guild. Only by doing so would he be able to shift the blame onto Ma Ji Hoon.

The man who caused the split of the Soo Guild was hunting in the dungeon as usual.
“Okay, I seem to have earned enough points during this hunt.
In fact, I hunted for fourteen or fifteen hours a day, thanks to which I managed to accumulate about six hundred thousand points in a day. Of course, you can’t get that many points for killing one monster, but as they say, a man’s shirt is a man’s shirt. Besides, even though selling electronics doesn’t bring in much money, batteries are still in demand, since you need them for every appliance you buy. I assumed that sales would decrease over time, but surprisingly the opposite has happened.
And if it continues like that, I will be only glad.

After the battery sales took off, within a month I looked about thirty years younger. If sales stay the same, I’ll be back to my old look in a week. There’s just one problem…
The trading window is very small.
There are only ten items. If the batteries get taken apart very quickly, that’s going to be a problem. Thanks to subspace, I used to add batteries back on sale after the buy message came up and I was done hunting. But that’s not the problem now. When I’m asleep, the items don’t add themselves if someone buys them.
“Eh, if only you could add everything in huge quantities, like in games.”
For example, if there was a system that allowed you to add ten thousand batteries by setting a price on one of them, and they would automatically refill. But in real life, there’s no provision for that.
“Also, I can’t remove other appliances from the window of commerce…”
Selling electrical appliances is a lucrative business. Although you don’t buy them that often, you can get a lot of money for selling them. I’m glad that I can sell both electronics and batteries at the same time. Yes, I still sell tablets, smartphones, and game consoles. I used to sell more items, but those three items turned out to be the best sellers.
“Well, when am I going to be able to upsell? Maybe I should switch product categories.”
Maybe then I could, like other Players, add hundreds or even thousands of items and sell them in large quantities. For example, as a potion seller – ReCommerce. Under that name, you could find countless items in the buy-sell window
I was currently able to accumulate less than five billion points. But it takes as many as ten billion points to level up. I still have a long way to go.
“I have to try hard!”
Of course, it’s not about selling electronics, it’s about hunting. If I stay in the dungeon as long as possible, I can earn even more points.
“I should probably increase my hunting time.
I had one idea…
“Magic Missile.”
***
I was able to kill a todeman with this skill.
Angry brethren of the slain man came at me from all sides. The todman is a very agile monster with a long tongue and spitting venom. Many would consider him invulnerable enough to take him out easily. But for me…
– Fireball!
This monster was no match for fire. The todmans that were coming at me were engulfed in flames, and they immediately dropped dead. Other monsters that dared to come closer were killed by the Vampire Sword.
After the hunt, I gathered all the stones into “subspace.”

The sale messages appeared as I was on my way to another dungeon.
“I wonder who’s been shopping this way…?”
Usually those who bought electronics bought batteries at once as well. So I opened the sales window to add a new batch of batteries, when suddenly this appeared:
[Complaint received from user Crowe. If the number of complaints increases, your rating may drop. Be careful! Would you like to read the complaint?]
[Yes] [No]
[There is a complaint from user Crowe. If the number of complaints increases, your rating may drop. Please be careful! Do you wish to read the complaint?]
[Yes] [No]
The complaints came one by one.
“What the hell?”
I sensed something was wrong.
“First, you have to read the reports you’ve received.”
[Complaint about XXX batteries (low)
“From now on, sell it for half price. I give you time, in 12 hours, starting now. If you do not fulfill the condition, you will be sorry.”
[Complaint about XXX batteries (low level)]
“From now on, sell it for half price. I give you time, in 12 hours, starting now. If you do not fulfill the condition, you will be sorry.”
All the complaints were the same.
“What is this?”
A buyer’s revolt of some kind?
I felt very strange. Fortunately, nothing else came up after those messages. Besides, I had sold several thousand items in all that time, so the six complaints shouldn’t affect me in any way. But if they keep coming in, I can’t avoid being blocked.
“Crowe…”
I decided to see what kind of Player he was and what he was selling. I found nothing in the trade window: no potions, no Skill Books, no weapons, no armor, no accessories. He wasn’t selling anything. Then I decided to look at my customer list.
“What?”
Crowe was the Gamer who first started buying batteries from me. But in all his buying history, he never bought anything to put those batteries in: not a game console, not a smartphone, not a tablet.
“So why is he buying them up?”
I thought the Gambler buying up batteries for electrical appliances shouldn’t cause any problems. But it turned out otherwise. And it was very funny.
“Sell for half price? Also in the allotted time? Why should I do that?”
The value of items is determined by calculating supply and demand. And in this niche, I’m a monopolist, so I set whatever price I want. Of course, the cost is inflated, but if there were complaints and reduced sales, in which case I could lower the price. Also, items that have just been added sell well. Especially when it comes to batteries, there’s a rush.
And after that incident with Gwess Pitt and Flower Sword, I didn’t get any complaints at all. But after selling an electric razor, a Polaroid camera, and a Tamagotchi, I got complaints, but I got a hundred million for something I was going to throw away. After those complaints I managed to sell a couple more electric razors, Polaroid cameras and tamagotchis, but later the sales of those devices dried up, which soon happened with other electronics as well. I was getting complaints about everything except game consoles, smartphones, tablets, batteries, and batteries. So, as I was going to do, I didn’t do anything.
